Arthur James Grain trained to be a teacher at St Paul’s College from 1934-1936.

He became a Flight Lieutenant Pilot in the 550th Squadron RAF, where he gained a Distinguished Flying Medal. Arthur was killed on 3 May 1944 and is buried at Cheniers Churchyard in France.
