John Arthur Marshall attended St Paul’s College from 1931 – 1933, where he was a member of the hockey team. He was the son of John and Emma Marshall of Coleorton, Leicestershire.
He became a Trooper in the 47th (Oldham) Royal Tank Regiment and was sent to El Alamein where he died on 27 October 1942 aged 31. He is remembered at El Alamein War Cemetery.
