Ronald Jacques attended St Paul’s College from 1931-1933. He edited ‘The Chelt’ student magazine and was the chief 2nd year student, known as ‘The Bishop’. He was the son of Henry and Florence of Millthorpe, Derbyshire.

He joined the 9th Squadron of the RAF as a Sergeant Observer and was killed over Cologne on 6 April 1942. Ronald was 28 and is commemorated at Rheinberg War Cemetery. He left a wife, Olga at Christchurch in Hampshire.
