Thomas Theo Hopkins was the son of John and Emma Hopkins of 18 High Street, Ibstock, Leicestershire. He trained to be a teacher at St Paul’s College from 1933-1935, where his nickname was “Boosey”.
Thomas became a Lieutenant in the 2/5th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and died on 23 September 1944, age 29. He is commemorated at Coriano Ridge War Cemetery.
