Vivian Claude John Steer attended St Paul’s College from 1930-1932. He was the son of Claude James and Balance and was married to Marjorie. Vivian lived at Redland, Gloucestershire.
He later joined the 415 (RCAF) Squadron RAF as a Flying Officer. He was killed in action on 17 July 1943 and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
