Dr Simon Fryer invited to give keynote speech at international conference
25th July 2018
Following the recent inclusion into the Olympic Games, research into the performance of rock climbing has become very important. In July this year Dr Simon Fryer (Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology in the Community) delivered the keynote talk at the International Rock Climbing Research Congress in Chamonix, France. His talk covered his research conducted over the last ten years investigating the psychophysiological stress and forearm hemodynamic kinetics in elite level rock climbers. Simon now acts as an advisor to national climbing teams and some Team Redbull athletes.
