Sport and Exercise Sciences programme going from strength to strength
31st July 2018
The 27th July marked the release of this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) results which provides final year students with an opportunity to voice their experiences about the course and institution they are currently at. The University of Gloucestershire’s overall satisfaction score has risen from 84% in 2017 to 86% in 2018. This ranks the University in joint 34th place out of 138 universities and HE colleges in the UK.
The BSc (hons) Sport and Exercise Sciences programme recorded a 92.3% overall satisfaction score which is an improvement of 5.2% from last year’s survey result.
Dr John Parker, Academic Course Leader for the programme said “Naturally, the team is delighted with this outcome and highlights a consistent and concerted effort to develop a degree programme that allocates resources and energies around the educational and aspirational needs of our students. In addition, it is particularly pleasing that many of the changes that have been implemented evolved alongside rigorous student consultation ensuring that the programme reflects a collaborative approach to course enhancement.”
It was also good news for the Community of Applied Sport and Exercise as a whole who saw overall student satisfaction among students in the community increase by 0.2% this year to reach 88.6%.
