Enriching Our Lives With Physical Activity

Where: Online

Cost: Free

The University of Gloucestershire has issued an open invitation to its next Living Room Lecture, which will take a look at how physical activity enriches our lives.

The lecture, at 4pm on Wednesday 17 February, is free to view and there’s no need to book.

The speaker, Jordan Wintle, is a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise. In his talk he’ll explore how movement has the power to enrich our lives beyond the obvious benefits to our physical health. And, although the gyms are closed, Jordan will discuss the current move to exercising at home and the growth of short online workouts (such as those popularised by Joe Wicks).

Jordan has a wealth of experience in the physical education and youth sport sector, from working in schools as a PE teacher, to research centred around motivational climates and long-term participation in physical activity. Jordan currently teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes linked to teacher training, and is completing his professional doctorate focussed on curriculum design in physical education. The lecture is at 4pm on our Facebook page, and there’s no need to book.
