In celebration of Women’s History Month, we are delighted to give a warm welcome to Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, lawyer and political and women’s rights activist, to present this online public lecture on Thursday 25 March at 5.30pm.

A New York Attorney and solicitor of England and Wales, with broad expertise in the financial services industry, Shola is a writer, public speaker and political commentator featured in mainstream and online media. She has contributed to and appeared on a wide range of channels including Sky News, CNN, BBC News, and in publications such as The Telegraph and The Guardian.

During this talk she will talk about her latest book, This is Why I Resist: Don’t Define My Black Identity.

Digging down into the roots of racism both in the UK and USA, Shola explores the different forms that everyday racism can take, while asking us to raise our voices to end the oppression. The lecture will be followed by an online Q&A session, hosted by Anne Dawson, Head of the Media School.
