Watching Wildlife in Winter with Professor Anne Goodenough

Where: Online

Cost: Free

Get outside and appreciate winter wildlife in Gloucestershire and beyond this month with help and inspiration in this short lunchtime presentation.

Winter can sometimes seem a quiet time in the natural world but if you know where to go, and what to look out for, there are some amazing wildlife opportunities. Watching deer rutting, seeing new-born seal pups, finding new winter-visiting birds, seeking out overwintering butterflies, exploring the wonders of the world of fungi, and even simply taking the time to appreciate the majesty of bare trees – winter can be a truly rewarding time to watch wildlife.

Professor Anne Goodenough has broad teaching and research interests, from the nesting ecology of birds to the role of citizen science, and the study of starling murmurations.
