The keynote speaker was anthropologist Dr Donna Lanclos, Associate Professor for Anthropological Research at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Running throughout the whole day, the key elements in the Festival were:

  • Keynote Lecture.
  • A set of brief, sharp ‘Lightning Sessions’ designed to stimulate debate, discussion and dialogue.
  • An interactive lunch – set in an exhibition, showcasing recent innovations. As well as a pop-up film studio, there will be e-learning projects, sustainability work and, of course, food and conversation.
  • Papers/Workshop Sessions giving more detail on approaches to learning and teaching, and ways of engaging with students.
