The Special Collections and Archives have teamed up with the Friends of the Dymock Poets to organise a cataloguing group to help access some of our Dymock Poets material in more detail.

Meeting once a month, the aim of the sessions is to transcribe some of the original correspondence we hold by and about the Dymock Poets, but also to meet,  have a chat about all aspects of the poets and discover some gems from the collection.

Alongside working on the Rowland Watson/ Edward Thomas Memories papers, there are opportunities to transcribe letters of Helen Thomas, Myfanwy Thomas, Eleanor Farjeon and Edward Thomas.

The group is open to all who have an interest in the Dymock Poets and is a great opportunity to get hands-on with some of their material.

Meetings are scheduled on the following dates:

Friday 8th June

Friday 13th July

Friday 10th August

Friday 14th September

Friday 5th October (Friends of the Dymock Poets 25th anniversary weekend)

Friday 9th November

Friday 14th December

All sessions start at 11am and are held in the Special Collections and Archives at Delta Place, 27 Bath Road, Cheltenham, GL53 7TH. Please contact archives@glos.ac.uk or 01242 714851 to RSVP.
