Students’ video games to feature at Insomnia 2024


University of Gloucestershire students have been selected to showcase their imagination and creativity at a prestigious event for the UK gaming industry, providing opportunities to make connections with industry experts and employers.

A selection of video games designed and produced by four teams of students from the University’s MSc Game DevelopmentMSc Sound and Music ProductionBSc Computer Games DesignBSc Computer Games Programming, and BSc Games Art programmes, will be featured at Insomnia: The Gaming Festival 2024.

First launched more than 20 years ago, this year’s festival (28-31 March) is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors, including gaming enthusiasts, creators and industry professionals, to the Birmingham NEC.

The students’ games are being exhibited as part of a large programme of activities including playable games, live e-sports tournaments, VR and AR experiences, and the latest gaming and tech innovations. You can find out more about this story on the University website.
