On this week…


We have our usual programme running this week, including Cake and Chat on Monday at 5pm thinking about our response to the Climate Crisis and a Walk in the Park with the dogs – meet at Park Faith Space on Tuesday at 12.30pm. Also two new things starting – the first Climate Cafe organised by the Green Team on Tuesday at 5pm, and (maybe appropriately) on Thursday and Friday the beginning of Calm – Mindfulness for Wellbeing – details of both below…

Mindfulness for Wellbeing Course

A series of 6 sessions introducing Mindfulness meditation practice.  Mindfulness helps train your attention so that you can be more aware of what is actually happening, rather than worrying about what has happened or might happen.

It aims to help you:

•   become more self-aware

•   feel calmer and less stressed

•   feel more able to choose how to respond to your thoughts and feelings

•   cope with difficult or unhelpful thoughts

•   be kinder towards yourself

The sessions take place weekly at Park and FCH (Oxstalls course to follow soon) – you can come along to either session.  The sessions are free and no previous experience is necessary.  The course begins on October 10th/11th :

Thursdays at 1.30pm in FCH Faith Space (next to the main reception)

Fridays at 12.30pm in Park Faith Space (next to the Medical Centre)
