Reflections

On Monday 11th November the University invites staff and students to mark Remembrance Day together. We’ll be gathering at the following sites at 10.50am for an Act of Remembrance which will include words for reflection and the two minute silence, and will end by 11.10pm. Do come and join us if you can.

FCH Campus – the University Chapel

Pittville Student Village – the Laurie Lee building atrium

This is also National Interfaith week, and Gemma our SU Welfare Officer is running Unite UOG: Faith and World views including visiting different events at different campuses to talk with students about what it’s like being at uni with their different beliefs, including Cake and Chat on Monday, 5pm at FCH Chapel, Dog walking on Tuesday leaving from FCH Chapel at 12.30pm, and Big Questions Cafe on Weds at Park Faith Space from 1pm – 2pm.

On Wednesday night we’ll be holding our annual Interfaith Week Event (with Cheltenham Interfaith and Cheltenham Borough Council) – this year looking at how we respond to Climate Change. Recreating Paradise will be held in Park TC007 from 7.00pm (market stalls 6.30pm). Come along for free veggie curry and a thought provoking evening.

On Thursday from 4-5pm you will have the first opportunity to practice some Carol Singing will be at Oxstalls Faith Space from 4 – 5pm (preparing for the Growth Hub Christmas Fayre). All staff and students welcome.
