History Society Trip to Bath

In December, the History Society organised a trip to Bath. On a beautifully sunny morning, a group of us explored the town, with some students visiting the Roman Baths and others discovering the sights of Bath itself.

We reconvened in the afternoon to explore the huge Christmas market (after all, what else would you do in December?!), before feeling slightly too energetic and deciding to climb to the top of the Abbey’s tower – and what beautiful views we got there! In true History Society style, the day had to involve an optional drink, with a festive mulled wine provided at the top of the tower. On returning to the ground, we were fortunate enough to stumble upon the Abbey’s choir practicing for their Christmas performance, which we thoroughly enjoyed before heading back to Cheltenham.

It was a great day out and a nice break at the end of a busy term. Here are a few photos from the trip:
