Heidi Hoskins shoots work for the Introduction to Editorial and Advertising module
23rd January 2024
As a mother I was inspired to produce an outdoors clothes-ware ad, which involved showing children outdoors, rather than inside using technology. Therefore, I chose to capture my daughter in for my target audience image, I had two friends swing her through the air to show an element of outdoor play, which is representative of children.
Then for my studio still life shoot, I used the same footwear, and wanted to bring some of the outdoors inside, therefore, I picked some fallen leaves, linking the image to the outdoors.

Both these images were captured on digital camera.
For my portrait brief I captured a portrait of my model in a pose representative of i.D. magazine, where he used a gear from a bike to cover his eye. This was captured on digital camera.

For the portrait I captured my model on his bike. I used a Mamiya 645 for this image, using a black and white film.
