Students may be interested to hear of a new opportunity, offered by the University of Gloucestershire’s sports department. For details of the Sports Writing Internship please see below:

“This internship would suit a student with the ability to write from a creative or journalistic perspective. The aim would be to create a narrative that described the history of sport at the University of Gloucestershire and its predecessor colleges and institutes. This narrative would then form the basis for a ‘Hall of Fame’ that will be located in the main corridor on the Oxstalls Campus.”

The intern would therefore be required to work with key University of Gloucestershire Sport staff to determine key themes for the narrative; to search and refer to source material; and to prepare a draft of 2000 words in the first instance. The intern would then work with designers, commissioned through the University’s Marketing Department, to create a suitable et of displays and posters through which to tell the story of Gloucestershire Sport.”

The internship is a great opportunity and will also provide students with the opportunity to gain their University of Gloucestershire Employability Award.

If you are interested please email degreeplusfch@glos.ac.uk or pop into the office located next to the helpzone on campus.
