Andrew Jones, Landscape Institute Education Officer gives a damn good presentation to our new first years and some of the conversion course students Thursday 25th September 2014. We had 25 students at the presentation but HEY it was 4.30p.m, and followed on from a site visit to Crickley Hill (Appraising Landscapes module site visit) and the new intake is only just developing the intellectual and physical stamina required to keep pace with the highly tuned teaching staff !!!! Well done Bob Moore and Jane Fitzgerald-White – Module Tutors

Andrew followed up the next day with a presentation to 2nd years on module AD5000 – Professional Practice – thanks Andrew and respect regarding your support for the next generation of students.

This was a chance to learn more about the LI and in particular the opportunity to take them up on a series of offers. Take up membership with the LI NOW – £25.00 if you go for student membership with the monthly LI journal chucked in. FREE MEMBERSHIP without the journal !!!!. BOX CLEVER – Groups of 5 contribute £5.00, 4 students join on the free membership and one gets the journal – The outcome is the opportunity to form a select 5 member discussion group once a month – to be known as CONTEMPLATION OR HANGOVER SUNDAYS – meet as a group once a month (ideally late Sunday afternoon) and discuss the latest articles and be ready in the week to establish whether your tutors are also on the FRONT OF THE WAVE!!!!

Andrew also chucked the following at us all: (more eloquently than this intro):
