Graduate News: Sarah Brice
18th March 2015
After graduating in 2003 I worked with Latham Architects for 3 years. I was then successful in getting a job with the Canal & River Trust(formerly British Waterways) who manage 2000 miles of canals and rivers throughout the country and is the third largest owner of listed structures in the country.I am now a project manager for construction although managed the planting of 30,000 trees, one of the 60 Diamond Jubilee woodlands planted to celebrate the Queens 60 year reign in 2012! Recently completed projects include a new weir and natural fish pass channel- this was extremely challenging, and the restoration of a gruesome Grade II guillotene lock.I am currently working on another refurbishment of a grade ll listed bridge this time with fairy tale white turrets, a failed embankment and culverts and there is always a towpath improvement scheme on the go. My job is extremely interesting given the stunning locations, wealth of history, geography and wildlife that you encounter.Sarah BriceProject Manager|Wales & West Technical TeamLandscape Architect BA(Hons) Post Grad Dip.MLIDock Office|1 Commercial Road|Gloucester|GL1 2EB01452 318049 |07748936950
