CONGRATULATIONS ALL ROUND


The opening day of the landscape architecture course END OF YEAR SHOW (31st May) celebrated the success of our students with an exhibition focusing on the final year (BA Hons) and post-graduates but including a sample of other years’ work and urban planning. There was also a number of special prizes given to students in five sponsored awards, as follows:

The Bodfan Gruffydd prizes for the best ‘all-round’ student at each of the five levels, presented by Anneliese Kyprianidis, Client Director, and Owain Keeley, Landscape Associate of sponsors Tyler Grange:

Landscape Institute South West prize for student most engaging with climate change issues, presented by Mike Joffe, Senior Landscape Architect at David Jarvis Associates, and Fin Church, Director at Planet Earth:

The Bradley Murphy Design Prize, for best sustainable response in the ecological landscape design module focusing on the environmental crisis, presented by Harry Powell, Associate Landscape Architect at Bradley Murphy Design:

Saniya Nitant Khandeparkar

The Dar Al-Handasah prizes for outstanding ecological work and innovative design, sponsored by Dar Al- Handasah, judged and presented by Fionn Beary, Senior Landscape Architect at DAR

Level 7 – Lauren Dutton

We should also like to thank Alan Young, amenity sales executive from Wyevale Nurseries, for continued advice and support to our students and for the generous offer of groundcover Hedera bellecour samples on this our opening day.
