Over the coming months and leading up to our third years degree show, in the Summer 2020, we will be showcasing the work of all exhibitors. On the Editorial and Advertising Photography course we champion the diversity of work produced by all students working within their own photographic specialisation and each working to a professional industry standard.
Aleena Hurst Specialises in Beauty editorials, with each series Aleena aims to showcase and celebrate diversity which is an issue within the Beauty community. This is a behind the scene shoot of Aleena’s most recent work, ‘Golden Girls’, filmed by fellow third year student Jonathan Griffiths.

Working with make-up artists and stylists, Aleena’s work highlights various looks, working with diverse models, the final results show artistry and uniqueness.
For the ‘Golden Girls’ series Aleena says, ‘ After taking a previous series of portrait in the mid day sun I decided to take a different approach in my next shoot by simplifying the portraits. White, crisp, shirts with natural waved hair and minimal make-up followed with the simplicity of the previous shoot but with more subtly.’
