“Push, you’ve got to push, there’s no point being a retiring wallflower in the corner” – Clive Crook

Clive Crook has commissioned work for some of the biggest publications in the world – ELLE Magazine (UK, Germany, China), The Observer, The Sunday Times Magazine, Cornucopia (Turkey) – to name a few.

Clive met online with 3rd year Photography: Editorial and Advertising students during our Professional Portfolio Review week for module, ‘The Creative Professional’. Students were able to receive individual feedback about their work from a number of high profile editors and curators as part of our online teaching programme.

In this interview, filmed during lockdown (on Zoom), Clive talks to us about how to edit your own work, develop a portfolio and approach a commissioning editor.
