It will be 10 yrs this summer that @davidvail graduated from #edandadphoto. David is now shooting beautiful highend fashion Advertising and editorial commissions. David told us how invaluable the course and our community has been to him being where he is today. From our course trip to Shanghai, to solid friendships made, introductions made when he moved to London, @hsburner being his best mate and best man and @charlotterosevail becoming his wife. David has often been a mentor, and has offered work experience to current students, @charlotteturtonphoto being one. He has returned as a visiting speaker on several occasions

@charlotteturtonphoto the colour queen, graduated with Megan in the lockdown year of 2020. Charlotte told us how because of the restrictions during lockdown she had to use herself as the model, in her images and moved towards product shots from fashion. She regularly returns to uni to talk to the students about progression in to the industry, how to generate commissions and the business workflow being freelance.

@meganwilliams_photography talked about her progression to being a freelance dog photographer. Having worked with the wonderful Heidi @thekennelclubuk during her work experience module, Megan is now regularly commissioned by them, brands and magazines. Highlight of 2022 was photographing some very special royal labradors. Megan says she’s so happy making a living doing what she loves, hanging out with and photographing dogs.

Current 3rd year student @alexmcdowellphoto talked about the connections made during the 2nd Yr work experience with alumni @ben_large, and how this lead to assisting many Advertising photographers thanks to introductions by Ben and now Alex is shooting for Waitrose and Lavazza coffee with current 2nd year @benbrainphotography assisting him. Also featured here is Alex’s personal work, 5×4, alternative processes and landscape.
