Sue Illman, alumnus and former President of the Landscape Institute, has received an honorary fellowship from the University of Gloucestershire.
Sue is managing director of Illman Young, a long-established landscape architecture practice based in Cheltenham. She was a founder member of the Gloucestershire Gardens and Landscape Trust, its chair for many years, and is now one of its patrons.
Sue’s practice has developed a nationally recognised profile in the integrated masterplanning of SuDS (sustainable drainage systems) and partnered the university in one of its first knowledge transfer partnerships, from 2006 to 2008.
