ARUP to give first Sustainable Landscape lecture 6th Nov 2013

Tom Armour (Leader of Global Landscape Architecture) and Austin Brown (Senior Ecologist) from ARUP will be giving the first Sustainable Landscape Series presentation this year. It will take place on 6th November 2013 in room TC001 on the FCH Campus, University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham. Start time 6.45pm with refreshments following.

about the future challenge to our urban areas (due to climate, demographic & economic change) and how we can create liveable cities, increase biodiversity, retrofit green infrastructure, design resilience to climate change and design for health and well-being through good landscape and ecological design. We will use Arup projects and others to demonstrate good practice as well as looking at how we can regard our urban areas as an ecological system within which humans are a part.

All the SLS presentations are free public lectures – everyone is invited so please come along and feel free to bring friends. They last about an hour with some locally-sourced refreshments to follow! PDF flier below…
