Sue Illman to give John Simpson Memorial Lecture 5 Feb 2014

Sue Illman, President of the Landscape Institute and Honorary Fellow of the Society for the Environment, will be giving the first annual John Simpson Memorial Lecture this coming Wednesday – 5th February 2014.

The lecture is entitled Landscape and Engineering – the essential civil partnership? and is a public lecture so everyone is invited to attend.

The lecture begins at 6.45pm and the venue is:

TC001, University of Gloucestershire Francis Close Hall Campus, Swindon Road, Cheltenham GL50 4AZ

This is the first of the annual memorial lectures to be held in honour of John Simpson, former colleague and friend to the Cheltenham Landscape Architecture Course, and who died a little over a year ago. We are extremely grateful to Catherine, John’s daughter, who has generously agreed to sponsor the lectures allowing us to invite speakers expert in the combined fields of landscape architecture and civil engineering, John’s original qualification. It is with great pleasure that Sue Illman, President of the Landscape Institute and former student of the Cheltenham course, has agreed to give the first lecture.
