Open mic night

The first open mic session of the new academic year will be on Monday 10th October at The Frog and Fiddle pub on Cheltenham High Street. This free event is open to all students and staff at the University of Gloucestershire. Bring along a piece of writing, prose or poetry, that will take not more than five minutes to read aloud. Alternatively, just have a drink and listen to everyone else (or – and this is my plan – hang around in the smoking area attempting to look vaguely bohemian). Gather at 7pm for a 7:30 kick off. Please note that this event has been rearranged from Tuesday 11th, causing a quandary for those of us with David Vann tickets. The obvious solution is to go for the first hour of the open mic night, leg it to the Town Hall, and head back to the Frog for the drunken aftermath. See you there!
