Susi Powell Memorial Tree

Last week 3rd year students gathered at Francis Close Hall for the tree planting in memory of Susi Powell. The Magnolia Susan tree, selected by the course reps, can be found behind the library on the outside of Quad West, along with a memorial plaque inscribed with a dedication to Susi. The tree marks the beginning of a regeneration project due in that part of the grounds, and will feature prominently for years to come. Its place and purpose will also be recorded in the archives for the future. Thanks are due to Rachel Reid, Jane Fitzgerald White, and the course reps for helping to organize the planting and ceremony – a fitting tribute to a warm and generous person who is fondly remembered and sorely missed.
