The Guardian University Guide

The Creative Writing Programme here at UoG, along with the English Literature course, had some good news recently.  The Guardian has released its 2015 University Guide, and in the league tables we have jumped up 12 places, and currently sit at 16th overall in the UK.  As our students know, we don’t put much stock in these ratings systems – the various factors and statistics that contribute to a university’s overall ranking aren’t necessarily ones we see as valid – but when the (somewhat) arbitrary scales tip in our favour we’re happy to take that at face value.  Our higher rating is no doubt partly due to the 100% overall student satisfaction Creative Writing achieved in last year’s National Student Survey, the highest of any U.K. university, a result due not just to the passion and dedication of our staff, but also the enthusiasm of our many talented students.  We look forward to seeing you all in September!
